IPP Logipal makes everyday pallet processing even easier
Expanding pallet specialist IPP Logipal has updated its dedicated order processing website, www.ePalletPartner.com, to provide customers with easier access to highly accurate account status information. The company’s management team, with the support of a range of customers, has developed the new functionality, which can be accessed via a secure web portal.
The system enables customers to place orders, as well as obtain clear visibility of receipts, stock, despatch and delivery status. It has the ability to keep track of orders in real time and features an automated key performance indicator (KPI) package that is used to drive improvements across the supply chain.
Information is available in both numerical and graphical formats and a wide range of data can be easily exported to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or PDF format, which allows for trends to be monitored and managed on an everyday basis.
There is also a ‘Quick Report’ function that provides a management summary in a few seconds. This covers key information such as movements and stock balances over the last 12 months. An advocate for the system’s improvements is Matt Woodhouse, Equipment Controller of Henkel UK & Ireland, the name behind leading brands in the adhesives, sealants and personal care sectors, such as Pritt, Loctite, Unibond and Schwarzkopf. He comments: “Not only does IPP Logipal provide a straightforward system with high quality pallets that our customers demand but they continue to listen to customers in how to make dealing with pallets even easier. “ePalletPartner is a perfect example. By enhancing how we can access their service to give us full visibility of pallet movements, an overview of invoices and allows us to place orders and track flows quickly and easily.”
Additional functionality includes collection requests and the ability to produce a stock count. The system also enables a variety of criteria to be accessed, including a breakdown of orders, delivery points and quantities for any selected date range.

Bucking the trend: IPP Logipal doubles its business in 2009
European pallet pooling specialist IPP Logipal has reported that it more than doubled
the size of its business in the UK&I last year due to record demand for its one-way
trip pallet service.
As many companies struggled in the tough economic climate, IPP
Logipal has clearly demonstrated that its pallet system is fast becoming a major
force across a wide range of industry sectors.
Part of the Faber Halbertsma Group,
the UK and Ireland operation was established in 2005 and has rapidly expanded as
it supersedes the costly and inefficient exchange model. The company now works together
with customers and retailers across the grocery, fresh produce, packaging, DIY, ambient,
chilled and frozen food sectors.

In 2009 IPP Logipal opened its eleventh pallet handling facility
including a major new site in Leicester to support a market leading brand producer.
Based at The Widdowson Group, the facility has the capability to handle three-million
pallets a year. Storer predicts that during the coming year the company will be handling
double digit millions of pallets a year.
IPP Logipal has further plans for investment
and expansion. Storer says: “In the coming year we’ll be investing several £-million
in the industry to generate value in the supply chain. This will create jobs both
directly and indirectly as we provide more work for hauliers, manufacturers and saw
mills. Our business model is very effective and always centres on the customer. With
a unique blend of quality, simplicity and value, we’re forecasting growth of 50%
in 2010.”
